Features

Thanks to wireless communication technology, the innovative ENERGYMID EM LPWAN energy meters supporting the LoRaWAN® protocol, make it possible to collect energy data easily and securely at unprecedented levels. With their wireless interface and MID certification, the meters offer the perfect solution for decentralized, legally compliant energy data acquisition – from energy monitoring to consumption billing – with no cabling and easy installation. Take it easy!

  • Multifunctional energy meter with MID certification for direct or transformer connection and 2, 3 or 4-wire systems (type-dependent)
  • Integrated wireless interface based on the LoRaWAN® standard in a compact housing (4 standard width units)
  • The interface is supplied with power from the measuring voltage, thus eliminating the need for battery replacement.
  • Functions update for the interface via FUOTA
  • 4-quadrant measurement: energy import and export
  • Acquisition of THD for current and voltage, as well as for neutral conductor current IN
  • Further interfaces available within the product range: M-Bus, LON, Modbus TCP / BACnet, Modbus RTU, pulse output

Areas of application

The ENERGYMID LPWAN energy meter supporting the LoRaWAN® protocol can be used for decentralized energy data acquisition in all fields of electrical energy supply and provides data for energy monitoring and energy management software via a suitable LoRaWAN® infrastructure. Thanks to MID certification, the data can also be used for consumption billing and energy controlling, for example internal cost center allocation.

Amongst others, possible applications include:

  • Decentralized energy data logging for individual production lines or machines
  • Acquisition of decentralized consumers without the need for hardwired communication
  • Can be used in portable meter panels such as construction site power distributors
  • Simple, cost-effective energy data logging and consumption billing for trade fairs, campsites, ports and marinas – wherever decentralized distribution boxes need to be monitored!
  • Energy data collection in non-residential buildings for municipalities and cities
  • Shared use of existing infrastructures, in particular within company premises and cities
